Away at Huntingdon the ground was heavy going. The forwards started the game well with strong rucks and mauls but the game was still 50/50 back and forth. Nathan Buckle opened the scorig with a try fifteen minutes into the first half.
The backs faired well with a mix of forwards defending anything Huntingdon could throw at them and Connor, playing fly half for the first time, went on to have a good game.
Again in the second half the play went back and forth and then Chris Le broke from a maul to run from half way to score under the posts with Connor converting. Huntingdon replied with drives from their forwards down the pitch to score a try and convert, With the heavy going telling on Newmarket, Huntingdon scored again under the post and converted with a minute to go.
